Glendora, CA – OASIS® Medical Inc., manufacturer of SOFT PLUG® and FORM FIT® brands of punctal plugs, reveals its new pen style inserter for use with the popular SOFT PLUG® Silicone Punctum Plugs April 13th through the 17th at ASCRS 2018 in Washington D.C., OASIS Medical Booth number 2202.

“Over the 20 plus years OASIS has been the manufacturer of punctal occlusion products, we learned that doctors have different preferences for their insertion devices for silicone plugs, so now we’re offering doctors a choice,” Chris Boore, US Sales Director.

The new pen style inserter is designed to be cradled between the index and thumb with the punctum plug release button positioned beneath the finger (user-determined) that will be used to gently press and release the plug upon placement.

The initial packaging configuration being released is of the new pen style inserter with SOFT PLUG Silicone Punctum Plugs preloaded and sterile. The box will contain six sealed trays holding one inserter and one plug. OASIS® plans to gradually release a two pack and an economy pack.
